Fred has been playing professionally for - well, for a long time. He spent most of his life on the Left Coast, and was transplanted to NJ a while ago.
Fred's former bands include The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Kingfish, Merle Saunders, and Papa John Creach.
You may have noticed by now the The 'Throwers have 2 guitar players. Why? We enjoy crowded stages? Less pay per man? NO! It's because we feel the music calls for it. Fred is a great professional guitar player. He takes the lead on many songs, as well as complementing Jim's strong rhythm and we are very lucky to have him.
Fred's hobbies include bug collecting, knitting, and making sure his real last name remains a secret. (We hear a rumor that he may be a Kennedy, but we have no confirmation on this.)
Fred is also quite the collector. His guitar collection boasts many stringed instruments of varying ages, having rebuilt several oldies but goodies to operational status.
Although Fred is more the quiet-type, his playing is anything but! |
