In his own words...

1964- Saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan- began taking guitar lessons from a little old man with a gigantic thumb nail that he must have used for a guitar pick-  I never practiced. 

 

1965- moved to NJ.  1966-Joined a neighborhood band- They let me in because I owned a guitar (Egmond). We used to set up Christmas lights around the band when we practiced, it was our light show. 1967- Bought my first electric guitar a” Zen On” for $12.00.  

1968-1974 played parties and high school dances for about $50... a gig.  1971- Saw the Allman Brothers at the Fillmore-sold the Zen On.  1975- started playing bars for about $50.00 a gig.  1976- joined the band Alias did gigs for around $50.00. 1979- moved to LA played in bands for free-did a lot of recording-almost got signed-almost doesn't count.

 

1983- moved back to NJ rejoined Alias.  1983-1999 wrote music, played guitar, booked, promoted and carried equipment for the Alias Band for about $50.00 a gig.  1999- Joined Lemon Isis Band did gigs for $30.00. 

2000- Played in multiple bands-did gigs with members of the Blues Brothers, Saturday Night Live Band and Conan O’Brien Band & Badfinger I got paid $50, they got paid more. 2002- Met Michelle Vecchione-joined her band (Vintage Blue) and recorded her demo. 2003- Recorded and produced Lemon Isis debut CD. Joined Captain Mike and the Flamethrowers. Bought another Zen On guitar on eBay the cycle repeats...
